Nexus Student Accommodation

All houses rented by Nexus students belong to local property owners we have built good relationships with over the last few years.

Each house meets the criteria set by us in terms of quality and suitability.

Houses are checked twice a year to ensure they are still suitable to rent for the following academic year.

Houses vary in size, accommodating between three and five students per house.

Each student will have their own bedroom with a shared kitchen, lounge and bathroom.

Houses are fully furnished; each bedroom will have a bed, wardrobe, desk, chair and chest of drawers but students may need to bring their own crockery and cutlery. Students will be told what is needed before arrival.

Rent costs on average £250 per month, but this can vary and doesn’t include utility bills or food. Rent is paid monthly, in advance via standing order, directly to the landlord. On arrival students will sign a 10 month contract taking them to the end of July and will need to bring

• 1 months rent in advance
• Payment for 2 weeks in September
• Deposit (usually 1 month’s rent – this is returnable at the end of the tenancy providing the house is left in the state in which it was found)

Once accepted, students will be contacted in the summer with details of their accommodation: landlord’s details, confirmation of rent and appliances/equipment provided in the house.
