Introduction

There are a lot of people that just get by as guitar players but few that really take the time and effort to develop their gifting. Ability alone will only take you so far but to truly excel on your instrument you need a structured, well thought out course and the right teachers to help you maximise your potential. The Nexus guitar course delivers both of these and more.

You will be taught to be a well rounded, knowledgeable, technically competent and creative musician able to flourish in any number of situations.

The heart behind the course is to open students’ minds to how music works, how the guitar has grown and evolved throughout popular music history, the wide versatility of the guitar and how to express this creatively and musically.

You will have the opportunity to hone your technical skills and develop your confidence in our regular live playing workshops (LPWs).

There are five core classes each week which cover the breadth of learning necessary for today’s demanding musical world. You will learn everything from extending your technical competence so that you are able to play what you hear in your head, through to broadening your musical vocabulary so you always have something creative and musical to play no matter what the situation.

As well as this you will be encouraged always to experiment with getting great tones and using effects creatively and will have both the equipment provided and the opportunity both in the studio and on stage.
