









Rich Hall

Rich started playing the guitar aged 9 years and soon after started his first band. He learnt both classical guitar (achieving ABRSM grade 8 in 1995) and electric guitar and went on to study BA/Hons popular music studies at Bretton Hall - part of Leeds University.
Rich came to Nexus in 2001 having already been working as a freelance guitar and drum tutor for 4 different county council music services in the midlands. He initially came on board as tutor on both the guitar and drum courses before taking over the role of head of guitar department in 2003.
During 2001 - 2005 Rich also took on the post as one of the music examiners for Rock School (Trinity College, London) conducting exams in guitar, bass, drums, piano & vocal.
As well as looking after the guitar course Rich is also Nexus' head of musical studies and has helped to develop the essential P.A course, studio elective, song writing program and also the assessment protocol and culture within the school as well as overseeing the LPWs (Live playing workshops).
Rich has written and produced 2 of his own instrumental guitar CDs, the latest being "Fluorescent Red".
Rich is married to his wife Dana and together they have 3 young children.
