Dave Silber

How long have you been at Nexus?
Since the beginning! We started actively working on getting things set up about 10 months before we opened our doors to the first students.
What is your favourite part about working at Nexus?
Without a doubt it is seeing the students' lives changed. After that it is working with a great bunch of people in a very creative environment.
What is the one thing you would like to do before you die?
Be a space tourist; but if not, be in Florida for the launch of the next manned mission to the moon.
What is your major achievement to date?
Investing something of eternal value in my family and the many people I have had the privilege of working with.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
Reading, building dens with the kids, building model rockets.
What are people surprised to learn about you?
That I used to be the shy, silent kid at school. Probably because I have been making up for that ever since.
If you could write a book, what would it be about?
Apart from my drum books that are waiting to be published, I think it would be my autobiography, the story of a normal man with dreams. Hopefully it would inspire average people to reach higher.
What is currently on your itunes playlist?
The new Dream Theater and Dave Matthews albums and some Keith Urban.
In two sentences or less, how has your faith changed you?
Discovering that the God who loves me and saved me has done and continues to do a transforming work in me helps me understand this life & His eternal purpose and how I can live my life in response to that.
