Without a doubt it is seeing the students' lives changed. After that it is working with a great bunch of people in a very creative environment.
Kate Silber

Since it began in 1998
What is your favourite part about working at Nexus?
Being with people and seeing students and staff go on a journey. Being there to share that with them is a massive privilege.
Rich Hall
How long have you been at Nexus?
Since 2001 - I originally came on board teaching in both the drums & guitar course splitting my time between the two.
What is your favourite part about working at Nexus?
It's definitely the community aspect amongst the staff & students. It's such a privilege to come to work in such a supportive, loving and friendly environment. The team are not just colleagues but more like a family.
Matthew Cossey
How long have you been at Nexus?
Well, I came to Nexus back in 2004 as a student and never managed to leave! Now I’m pretty much part of the furniture here and took on the running of the Piano & Keys Course in 2007.
What is your favourite part about working at Nexus?
Probably the environment: I love being around people that love God and love music. Seeing how people's lives are changed and how they grow here in so many ways is pretty awesome.

How long have you been at Nexus?
I studied at nexus 07-08 and have been staff here since September 2010.
What is your favourite part about working at Nexus?
Being part of a community that are constantly growing and developing, not just musically, but in seeing musicians become true worshippers of God. l also love walking with the students as they see more of God and his plans and purposes for there lives.

What is your favourite part about working at Nexus?
Being part of the students' journeys as they are impacted and changed, and helping students explore and develop the artistry of their vocal expression. I love working here!

How long have you been at Nexus?About a week! I studied here back in 2002-3, I then spent the last 9 years playing drums in a band called [dweeb]. That came to an end just as the drum tutor job became vacant here at Nexus, the opportunity to come back and work for the place that was so significant and influential in my own life was something I didn’t want to pass up.
What is your favourite part about working at Nexus?
Well, I’m still adjusting to being on staff here, however the opportunity to combine teaching drums with helping the students here to realise God’s plan for their life is a real privilege.

I studied here in 06-07 and have been here since!
What is your favourite part about working at Nexus?
Being a part of this family. Seeing the staff and students discover more of God’s character and purposes and watching that unfold into their hearts and our community.

How long have you been at Nexus?
About two and a half weeks...
What is your favourite part about working at Nexus?
I'm not sure yet, but one thing's for sure, we're all a bunch of nutters. It's brilliant!
What is the one thing you would like to do before you die?
Base jump into the cave of swallows in Venezuela... Seriously though, I really want to achieve at least a part of the vision that I believe God has given me, as well as being a good husband and father (God-willing).

What is the one thing you would like to do before you die?
Be involved in developing Christian communities in way that can be replicated around the world.

How long have you been at Nexus?
I graduated the vocal course in 2007, and stayed on to do an internship & third year before starting work here in September 2009.
What is your favourite part about working at Nexus?
Getting to work with such quality people & seeing the change that takes place in the students each year. It is such an incredible place to spend a year - I love watching people get as much out of it as I did in my first year!

How long have you been at Nexus?
I was a vocal student for 2 years from 2008-2010 and then stayed on as a part-time volunteer for a year before becoming full-time staff this year.
What is your favourite part about working at Nexus?
I love working in a place where I can fully trust and support the directors, where I continue to be stretched and where I can be a part of the lives and growth of other staff and students. I also love being in a musical environment, there is so much resource here!
What is the one thing you would like to do before you die?
Have children!

How long have you been at Nexus?
I came here in 2006 as a student and loved it so much I’m still here now teaching part time. So this is now my 4th year. It's crazy to think that just 3 years ago I was still in the 1st year here studying!
What is your favourite part about working at Nexus?
Seeing the transformation in so many people's lives and knowing that this isn’t limited to just being at Nexus- people leave here changed and go on to impact others. This is far from just musical- it's seeing the change in people's interactions with God and each other.

I was a student here from 2000-2002 and started working here in 2004.
What is your favourite part about working at Nexus?
I love interacting with the other staff and students, sharing life together. It’s a fantastic environment to be in.
Lisa Merrylees
How long have you been at Nexus?
I’ve been working here since the end of April but have been involved in Nexus life since my husband Peter started working here in 2006.
What is your favourite part about working at Nexus?
I love the community life that is outlived here. There’s a real sense of people building together to further God’s Kingdom.
